DEALS ON WHEELS RENT A CAR L.L.C – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the Rental Contract (collectively, the “Agreement”) between Deals On Wheels Rent A Car L.L.C (the “Lessor”) and the individual named in the Rental Contract (the “Renter”).

1. GENERAL TERMS

• Minimum Rental Period: One day (24 hours). A one-hour grace period is allowed; thereafter, a full additional day will be charged.
• Automatic Renewal: If the vehicle is not returned immediately upon the elapse of the term, the agreement may be automatically renewed for a similar term at the Lessor’s sole discretion.
• Mileage Allowance:
  • Daily: 250 km.
  • Weekly: 1,400 km.
  • Monthly: 4,500 km.
  • Excess Mileage Fee: AED 25 per additional kilometer.
• No Smoking Policy: All vehicles are strictly non-smoking. A service fee of AED 1,000 applies for steam treatment if smoke or odors are detected.
• Fuel Policy: Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as received. If not, a total of AED 200 (including fuel cost and service charge) will be charged.
• Tolls & Fines: Salik (toll) is charged at AED 5.00 per crossing. Traffic violations incur the fine amount plus an AED 80 service fee per violation.

2. DELIVERY, RETURN & EXCHANGE

• Vehicle Condition: The Renter accepts full liability for any damage or loss once they accept the vehicle in the condition indicated on the Vehicle Check Report.
• Responsibility: The Renter remains fully responsible for the vehicle until it is checked in by an authorized Lessor representative.
• Repossession: The Lessor reserves the right to repossess the vehicle if used in violation of this Agreement or if financial obligations are not met.
• Personal Property: The Lessor is not liable for loss or damage to property left in the vehicle during or after the rental period.
• Service & Maintenance: Vehicles must be serviced according to the service tag on the windscreen. Failure to inform the office when service mileage is reached makes the Renter liable for any resulting damage.

3. CONDITIONS OF USE

• Territory: The vehicle is allowed to be driven only within the UAE.
• Prohibited Uses: The vehicle must not be used:
  • For hire, racing, testing, or towing.
  • To carry more passengers than intended.
  • Off-road, in deserts, mountains, or on flooded/rough terrain.
  • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • By any person not listed as an additional driver.
• Modifications: Tinting glass or adding stickers is strictly prohibited. No repairs or modifications are allowed without prior written approval.

4. DAMAGE, LOSS & INSURANCE

• Liability: In case of damage, loss, or theft, the Renter must pay for all resulting losses, including repair costs, decline in value, and loss of rental revenue.
• Accidents: A valid police report must be obtained immediately for any accident or theft. Failure to provide a police report makes the Renter responsible for all actual costs.
• Exclusions: Insurance does not cover damage to windshields, windows, tires, wheels, tools, or interior upholstery.
• Young Drivers: Renters between 18 and 25 years old receive only 90% insurance cover.
• Deductible: In the event of an accident caused by the Renter, an excess of AED 5,000 must be paid.

5. FINANCIAL CHARGES

• Payment Authorization: The Renter authorizes the Lessor to debit all charges (rental, fines, Salik, damage, petrol, etc.) from their credit or charge card.
• Early Return: No cash refunds are provided for early returns; a credit note for future use will be issued instead.
• Unapproved Repairs: The Renter is responsible for the full cost of any repairs conducted without prior approval.

6. LEGAL & JURISDICTION

• Personal Data: The Renter agrees that the Lessor may communicate personal data to authorities such as the police and traffic departments.
• Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes will be submitted to competent UAE courts.
• Language: In the event of conflict between different language versions, the English text shall prevail.
